Until the name was discontinued in 2011, it belonged to the Lincoln-Mercury division. The Monterey was a luxury vehicle first introduced in 1952 and built in seven generations until 1974. Four-door sedans, as well as two-door hardtop coupes and convertibles, were available in all generations, but station wagons and four-door hardtops were not consistently part of the lineup.
